Cybersecurity for a New America

The conference launched New America’s cybersecurity initiative by connecting a diverse group of experts from academia, industry, government and civil society. The goal of the event was to stimulate innovative conversations, highlight new voices in the field, and suggest areas for future research and policy.

Prominent speakers included John Carlin, Assistant Attorney General for National Security, Bruce Schneier, Harvard Law School, Alex Stamos, Chief Information Security Officer, Yahoo!, and Lieutenant General Edward Cardon, Commanding General of United States Army Cyber Command. The keynote address was presented by Adm. Mike Rogers, Director of the National Security Agency.

CNN and CSPAN live-streamed the event which was viewed by over 3,600 people.
