Cybersecurity for a New America

A day-long conference in February 2015 that launched New America’s cybersecurity initiative by connecting a diverse group of experts from academia, industry, government, and civil society. Speakers included: John Carlin, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; Lt. Gen. Edward Cardon, Commanding General of United States Army Cyber Command; Adm. Mike Rogers, Director of the National Security Agency; Bruce Schneier, Harvard Law School, Alex Stamos, Chief Information Security Officer, Yahoo!, and others. CNN and CSPAN live-streamed the event which was viewed by over 3,600 people. The conference received widespread media coverage from The Wall Street Journal, BBC, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, The Guardian, Financial Times, Al Arabiya, U.S. News and World Report, Politico, The Washington Times, and others.
